New this year:

A new futon for the yurt! Finally! If you've stayed with us before you've surely felt the lumps of the old mattress. Well we listened to our guests and decided that even though this was camping, we like to consider it luxurious and lumps aren't luxurious. So, tryout the new mattress. It's not the best on the market but hey, you're camping!

We added an air chair to the yurt and the cabin. You can literally hang out under a tree and snooze, read or enjoy the birds.

You can also enjoy the new TV with a larger screen for all those movies you brought with you.

The cabin got a little face lift inside with new curtains for the windows and a new bedspread for the bed. Plus we added a futon to the loft. Now the cabin can sleep six people and nobody has to hit the floor!

New last year:

We added a brand new hammock last year and it is the best way to hang in the woods! The all weather material won't stretch or fade. So, grab a pillow and take a nap. You'll be in dream land before you know it!

We have a new DVD player for the cabin.

The yurt space has become popular with small groups. Just bring extra tents for the extra people and you can have your own private retreat.

Ronnie, the resident property owner, maintenance guy, and firewood supplier blazed some new trails around the pond, by the huge hemlock tree and old cabin site (from the 1880's) and down to the big creek. Just look out for the red trail signs.

This winter I heard the mating calls of the Great Horned Owl. This is a great thing for our woods as it represents their good health as a natural environment for wildlife. At night I've even heard the chilling howl of coyotes from a distance. If you come across any wildlife, enjoy them at a distance as even the cutest little critter has big teeth and claws. Also, keep your food safe at night as those critters love a free and easy meal.
